My thrown and manipulated figures are a celebration of the amazing “machine” the human body is, the different elements, character and uniqueness our personal form holds. I create fluidity through throwing and manipulating different clays. The surface decoration conveys meanings and denotes the roller coaster of life’s emotions. The Smaller pieces are often based on English Proverbs and are intended to be amusing and a light relief to life’s difficulties. My larger pieces are high fired and may be left in the garden.
