So you ask how did I become a clay sculpture artist, well I returned to art at my local evening class when my children were small for a little sanity and “me” time and loved the tactile quality of clay. I joined Brunel University evening class for two years and wished to understand a little more about clay art, this lead me to Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College in 2003 to study and achieve a B.A (Hons) Ceramics with glass as well as extra credits in metal work and jewellery.’ |
After my general education my wish was to have a career in the arts but due to circumstances this was not possible. Instead, I followed a successful nursing career, obtaining my R.G.N, Midwifery and district nursing. Through nursing I travelled to many countries, experiencing different cultures.
